Twilight Photography
Twilight photography is a set of exterior photos taken in the short window after sunset, when the sky still holds color and the house has every light on. It is for Las Vegas listing agents and sellers whose property has something daylight cannot show: a lit pool or spa, landscape lighting, or a view of the Strip or the mountains.
For a house, twilight covers the exterior only: the front, the back yard, the pool and the patio. For a condo or high-rise unit it covers the window and balcony views, with a few interior shots taken toward the windows to show them. It does not include a full interior shoot; interiors are part of the daylight shoot.
When Twilight Photography Is Worth It in Las Vegas
Not every listing needs twilight. Book it when the home has at least one of these:
- A pool or spa with lights. In daylight a pool is a blue rectangle. At dusk, lit from below, it is the one photo buyers stop on.
- Landscape and architectural lighting. Path lights, uplit palms, a lit entry, string lights over the patio. None of it shows at noon.
- A view. Strip-view condos and high-rise units, hillside lots above the valley, any back yard that looks out over city lights after dark.
A plain front with no exterior lighting and no view gains little at dusk. Put the money toward drone photography instead and show the lot and the neighborhood from above.
Frequently asked questions
Most of the time, yes. Shooting interiors close to sunset gives odd, mixed lighting, so the daylight shoot happens earlier and we come back for twilight. We make exceptions when it makes sense for the property or you ask for it.
For a house: the exterior, front and back, pool and patio, with the lights on. For a condo: the window and balcony views as the city lights come on, with a few interior shots toward the windows. A full interior set is not included; order the daylight shoot for that.
Usually 10 to 15, covering the front, the back yard and any view from more than one angle.
Some clouds make the best twilight skies, and a fully overcast evening is still fine: we can replace the sky on twilight photos. Wind is fine too, as long as you accept that tree branches will blur in the long exposures. Weather reschedules are free.
Yes, on request. We can turn a daylight exterior into a virtual twilight; ask when you order. If you only want a blue sky in place of a grey one, sky replacement on the daylight shoot does that.
Yes. Twilight is its own service, not an add-on. Order it alone, or with daylight stills, drone photos or video in the same order.
